Social
We hold social events with various greek organizations and RIT clubs to better our relationships and involvement. We support other greek philanthropy's throughout the academic year.
Sisterhood Events
Sisterhood events bring the whole chapter together for an exciting activity! Held bi-weekly at the ZTA Mansion or external location.
Community Service Events
Sisters must complete 12 hours of community service (new members: 6) there are many opportunities such as Relay for Life, Breast Cancer Walk, Conserving Cobbs Hill, etc.
We try to give our time to the community through various acts of service performed both individually and as a team. One event that we aim to consistently help out with is Making Strides, a walk dedicated to those who have been affected by breast cancer. It's a wonderful event for all of us, as it reminds us of our philanthropy of Breast Cancer Education and Awareness, allows us to make connections with those who are impacted by this disease, and inspires us to continue our philanthropic work. Another event that we've participated in is the Cancer Support Community Chef's Dinner. This is where we get to prepare and serve meals to those who have faced cancer and their family members. Once again, it's an amazing opportunity to get to those who have faced cancer and their family members. Once again, it's an amazing opportunity to get to connect with those whose lives have been greatly impacted in a similar way. We also have the chance to volunteer in a number of ways on-campus through events such as Framing Frenzy, Giving Tuesday Hunger Project, and the Community Gardens. Through our service, we hope to better the Rochester community and to continue making those connections that mean so much to our sisters.
DEI Events
Zeta Tau Alpha is committed to creating a space of belonging and building an inclusive sisterhood for every member. The expectation for ZTA is to treat their sisters with love, the greatest of all things. While we know there is more work to be done, we have built a space for members to access educational resources, read the stories of ZTA’s individual and unique sisters, and report any concerns when accepting environments are not provided.
